Apart from the first catalogue style annual in 1963 I have every copy of the D&AD Annual. D&AD Awards: The Gold Rush The Partners was awarded Gold in Poster Advertising for its Grand Tour campaign for The National Gallery, which saw copies of famous artworks appearing on the streets of London. These were my submissions for the UWE D&AD invitations. It was a copy-based campaign, which I found very scary and challenging. You'll ind this ad in the D&AD Copy Book. It was written by Bob Levenson who was an integral part of the Bernbach crew that invented modern advertising. Solution: Create the 'one on one' experience. Chose three frames from the film, capturing the moment the forms appear out of the background. I ended up picking a brief from D&AD, which was for The Copy Book and the client was D&AD itself. I looked at YCN awards and D&AD awards. Shown at scale, Foster photographed a sculpture of the logo, with the result being one that shows the different spaces and perspectives that lie within the D&AD mark. Foster and his team built a white model of the logo and then photographed it against a white background. For protection during shipping, the book is encased in an outer carton that also features the mark. The information on these is not correct for 2010, it is copied it from last years invite.
